Mumbai. The Rupee on Friday declined by six paise to 70.98 in opening trade on rising demand for rising US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit registered intra day high and low at 70.99 and 70.88 respectively.
Firm dollar against other world currencies kept the Rupee down, they added.
