Mumbai. The Rupee on Wednesday declined six paise to 70.99 in opening trade on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit registered intra-day high and low at 71.03 and 70.90 respectively.
Strong dollar against other world currencies pushed the Rupee down, they added.
