Mumbai. The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday lost another 146.78 points to 40,101.56 on selling in Energy, FMCG, Finance, Telecom, Auto and Consumer Durable. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too dropped by 44.55 points to 11,872.65. The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 40,311.05 and 40,037.53 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded day intra day high and low at 11,912.20 and 11,850.25 points respectively. The sectoral indices like Energy, FMCG, Finance, Telecom, Auto and Consumer Durable kept the market under pressure today.
The losers were Bharti Airtel by 2.60 pc to Rs 374.25, SBI by 1.32 per cent to Rs 315, Reliance Industries by 1.16 per cent to Rs 1430.85, ITC by 1.07 per cent to Rs 260.10 and HCL Tech by 1.06 per cent to Rs 1146.
The gainers were Infosys by 2.26 per cent to Rs 711.50, Sun Pharma by 1.64 per cent to Rs 436.95, Kotak Bank by 0.78 per cent to Rs 1566 and Asian Paints by 0.73 per cent to Rs 1807.75.
