Mumbai. The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday improved 137.90 points to 39,101.74 points as fresh buying was seen in in Materials, FMCG, Finance, Health Care and IT stocks. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too went up by 41.40 points to 11,629.75.

The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 39,148.97 and 38,866.08 points respectively. The Nifty recorded day intra-day high and low at 11,638.80 and 11,554.40 points respectively.
The sectoral indices like Materials, FMCG, Finance, Health Care and IT stocks pushed the market up in early trade. The gainers were HCL Tech by 3.01 pc to Rs 1096.50, SBI by 1.98 pc to Rs 275.80, Infosys by 1.74 pc to Rs 654.50.
The losers were IndusBank by 1.24 pc to Rs 1324, ONGC by 0.90 pc to Rs 142.85, Kotak Bank by 0.88 pc to Rs 1614.60 and Hind Unilever by 0.79 pc to Rs 2110.85.
