The makers of Rani Mukerji starring Mardaani 2 are out with back to back posters, posing some serious and burning questions about women’s safety and well-being in current times.
Each poster features Rani Mukerji posing a serious question, such as, why despite being 50 crores females in India, they are not safe? Why people mistreat women on public transport and most brutal question, if why does the age of rapist matters at all?
In Mardaani 2, the fierce and determined cop Shivani Roy played by Rani Mukerji is faced with a serial rapist in a small town of Kota in Rajasthan. According to makers the story of the film is inspired from true events.
Mardaani 2 is based in Kota, a small town in Rajasthan, where students from all over the country come to take IIT-JEE coaching. A troubled soul is on a spree abducting women and raping them, and Shivani Roy, has been assigned to nab the rapist, vows to arrest the serial rapist. This is followed by a cat-and-mouse-chase between the villain and the film's protagonist.
Mardaani 2 is directed by Gopi Puthran and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The story follows Shivani who goes up against a 21-year-old villain (played by Vishal Jethwa).Mardaani 2 is set to be theatrically released in India on 13 December 2019.
