Interior designer Gauri Khan's husband movie 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' got the appreciation from US President Donald Trump. Recently on a visit to India, the US President sent Twitter into a frenzy when he mentioned Bollywood classics Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Sholay in his speech at Motera stadium in Ahmedabad. He also showered praise on the film industry.
Designer trio Gauri Khan, Seema Khan and Sussanne Khan were seen interacting with the media at the Red Carpet of Maison & Objet 25th Anniversary on Thursday in Mumbai.
When asked how privileged Gauri feels, when her husband movie DDLJ was appreciated by US President, on this she said, "I think we should make Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge part 2. This should be the next plan. And I think it's a very nice plan. I'll tell Aditya Chopra to make the second part of the movie. So every President or Prime Minister enters India discuss about the movie."
About DDLJ, the movie has had the distinction of running for one thousand and nine uninterrupted weeks at Maratha Mandir, one of Mumbai’s older cinema halls.
Gauri Khan is a film producer and designer who has designed spaces for high-profile individuals such as Mukesh Ambani, Roberto Cavalli and Ralph Lauren, as well as Bollywood celebrities such as Karan Johar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sidharth Malhotra.
She is the co-founder and co-chairperson of the film production company Red Chillies Entertainment and its subsidiaries. In 2018, Gauri was named as one of Fortune magazine's "50 Most Powerful Women".
