New Delhi, Terming education to be a key poll issue in February 8 Delhi Assembly poll, Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia on Friday said the present city government added 20, 000 new classrooms in the last five years.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the AAP government has also integrated various curriculums. 'We have built schools, we have ensured good education to all children of Delhi,' he said.
He pointed out that Teacher's Training, Entrepreneurship program and Happiness curriculum transformed the education system. Mr Sisodia said the AAP government revamped school infrastructure and involved parents in school management.
He said the present city government remodelled teacher training to address the learning needs of students.Polls to the 70-member Delhi assembly will be held on February 8. Results will be announced on February 11.
Notification for the elections will be issued on January 14 and the last date of filing nomination is January 21. Withdrawal of candidature can take place till January 24.
