New Delhi, Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and spokesperson Raghav Chadha on Sunday lashed out at Bharatiya Janata Party leaders for allegedly resorting to personal attacks and launching an abusive campaign against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying that the ruling party is baffled in these elections.
"In Delhi elections, BJP is not fighting with the Aam Aadmi Party, but with the common people of Delhi. Abuses and personal attacks insult and defame the people of Delhi, not CM Kejriwal nor the Aam Aadmi Party", Mr Chadha said while addressing a press conference at party headquarters here.
"BJP is so baffled in these elections, that they had to bring all their senior ministers, Chief Ministers from other states to Delhi for campaigning. For the last 5 years they didn't even pay any attention to the plight of the people of Delhi, but suddenly they have focused all their attention on Delhi.
In all their rallies, they are targeting Arvind Kejriwal, someone makes fun of his health, personal remarks are made on his appearance, on his family members. BJP is resorting to dirty politics in these elections", Chadha asserted.
Chadha alleged that Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, in a public gathering recently, made crude remarks against Mr Kejriwal repeatedly but was alter stopped by a Delhiite.
"When these leaders make these abusive comments, they are not actually insulting or defaming AAP or Arvind Kejriwal, but they are humiliating the people of Delhi", he asserted.
