New Delhi, In its mega out reach programme to explain to present to the people the correct perspective of the newly enacted Citizenship law, the ruling BJP will interact with celebrities and people connected to sports and art and culture.
According to party sources here, BJP general secretary Bhupender Yadav will lead the party team in such campaign and he would be assisted by party's IT cell chief Amit Malviya and other party leaders.
"People from sports and art and culture will be contacted individually and all will be explained and presented with the real intent of the CAA and that it is not against any section of Indian citizens," a party source said here.
Home Minister and BJP chief Amit Shah will launch 'Ghar Ghar Sampark Abhiyan' in the capital on Sunday while party's working President J P Nadda will carry out the marathon exercise in Ghaziabad.
Defence Minster and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh, also a former BJP chief, will carry out his campaign in the capital town of Uttar Pradesh and another former BJP president Nitin Gadkari will undertake the programme in Nagpur.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be in Bangalore and other Union Ministers Sadanand Gowda, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Smriti Irani, Piyush Goyal, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Dharmendra Pradhan, Anurag Thakur and Babul Supriyo will participate in various towns and cities across the country.
Home Minister Shah in a rally at Jodhpur in Rajasthan on Friday said the government will not budge 'an inch' on the CAA despite all opposition parties coming together.
On Friday, the BJP stepped up attack against the Congress party in the high voltage CAA row and said the grand old party - which is now opposing the new law - had in its poll manifesto for Rajasthan in 2018 promised all-round development of people who have been displaced from Pakistan.
BJP spokesman G V L Narasimha Rao shared the details of the Congress manifesto of 2018 and said - "The Congress had promised all-round development of people who have been displaced from Pakistan.' "..... that means the refugees, and they promise to give them citizenship rights and rehabilitation," he said.
"This is the real face of the Congress as it says something when in power, and when this does not suit it, then it puts up a different face," Mr Rao said.
The BJP leaders and spokespersons will also travel across India and address at least 250 media conferences and expose the double standards of the CAA.
