Counsel for Mukesh today after filing a plea in Patiala House Court said that there are subsequent developments in the matter that necessitate setting aside the death warrants against the convicted persons.
Delhi High Court on Wednesday declined to entertain the plea on behalf of one of the convicted Mukesh to setting aside the order passed on January 7 which issued his death warrant saying there's nothing wrong with the trial court order.
Additional Sessions Judge Satish Kumar Arora today after hearing the plea passed the directions to Tihar Jail Authorities when Authorities said they have written to the Delhi Government on the issue of scheduled execution on January 22 in view of pending remedies. The Court directed to Tihar jail authorities to file a proper status report of scheduled execution of convicts in the Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case by Friday.
