Santiago. A 6.0 magnitude quake jolted Chile, shaking buildings in the capital while an anti-government demonstration was under way.

The temblor, epicentred at 31.8222 degrees south latitude and 71.3664 degrees west longitude, hit the region at 0323 IST on Tuesday, Chile’s National Seismological Center said.
Its depth was 49.06 km. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, National Emergency Office said.
People are protesting against the Chilean government's austerity policies.
