The Bahá’ís of the World celebrate the Bicentennial Anniversary of the Birth of the Báb

Bicentennial of the birth of the Bab from Sunset on Monday 28 October to Sunset on Wednesday 30, 2019 will mark the 200th Anniversary of the birth of the Fore-Runner and Herald of the Bahá’í Faith, the Báb, Whose dramatic ministry paved the way for appearance of the Bahá’u’lláh.

Births of the Twin Luminaries (Manifestations) will be commemorated by Bahá’ís, together with their neighbours, families, and friends on 29 and 30 October, 2019.

On the occasion of the 200th Anniversaries of the births of the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh in 2017 and 2019, special celebrations have been organized worldwide. 

As the earth spins on its axis and the celebrations begin in different lands, the world can be updated with information on the festivities occurring in particular places.

The International website launched last month, will begin covering Bicentenary celebrations around the world at Monday's (28 October, 2019) sundown in Kiribati, that is 04:15 am GMT. The site will be regularly updated with glimpses into the celebrations in more than 100 countries. Currently, the site features articles on the lives and teachings of the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh, a special letter from the Universal House of Justice about the historic anniversary, and Dawn of the Light, the film commissioned for the Bicentenary.

The website is available in 10 languages - Arabic Chinese, English, French, Hindi, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, and Swahili.
